CAPA GRAND PRIZE HUNGARY 2026 CANDIDATES

We are delighted to announce that the jury has selected the five shortlisted nominees for the Capa Grand Prize Hungary 2026. This year’s candidates are the Depth of Field Narrative Group – DNG (Zsolt Balázs and Gábor Sióréti), Noémi Napsugár Melegh, Zsófia Pályi, Zsófia Sivák, and Viktor Váradi. In recognition of their outstanding work, each shortlisted artist and collective will receive a grant of HUF 500,000.

In the second round of the awarding process, scheduled for October 2026, the finalists will introduce their work before the jury in a public presentation held in English. The grand prize winner will be announced following this final review. In addition to the prestigious title, the laureate will receive a grand prize of HUF 2.5 million, along with an additional €2,000 to support their international exhibition, which will take place at the Krinzinger Schottenfeld Gallery in Vienna in 2027.
