The Photojournalists’ Section of the Hungarian Press Photo Competition, organised by MÚOSZ, is a showcase of the most interesting Hungarian press photos taken in 2024. The 43rd Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition will present a selection of these photos. The 16 categories of the competition attracted 282 photographers with 2,566 entries and 7,438 images.

The international jury consisted of:
Tamás Szlukovényi, Curator of the Archive of Modern Conflict, Toronto, President
Adrian Evans, owner-director of Panos Pictures UK (London, UK)
Petr Mlch, Editor-in-Chief of the Photo Bank of the Czech News Agency (Prague, Czech Republic)
Radu Sigheti, retired photojournalist from Reuters news agency (Bucharest, Romania)
Klára Szarka, photo historian, curator

The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by the publication of the Photographs of the Year 2024 album, which has been a yearbook companion to the competition for more than 30 years. In addition to all the winning photos, the editor András Bánkuti will publish a selection of the most representative photos of the events of the past year submitted to the competition. The Photos of the Year 2024 album is available for purchase at the Capa Centre.
